TeamCSG Spotlight: Lareitha Santiago

Lareitha has spent over a decade working in the unemployment insurance (UI) and workforce industries, building deep expertise in benefits regulations, policies, and operational procedures. She started her career at the South Carolina Department of Employment and Workforce as a Workforce Proctor and UI Claims Specialist supporting claimants and employers with administration of benefits. Throughout her nine years with the State, she went on to hold multiple leadership roles, including Director of Local Operations where she supported multiple functions associated with the rollout of a new federally-compliant UI benefits system.

Lareitha joined CSG in 2022. She has been serving as the Project Manager for CSG’s UI System Modernization Project Management Office project in Nevada, leveraging her expertise to help the Department of Employment, Training, and Rehabilitation optimize UI processes, deploy project management best practices, and streamline system modernization efforts. Her experience on similar engagements helps proactively identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure regulatory compliance to support the successful implementation of the new UI system.

“My passion for the unemployment insurance program goes far beyond administrative management – it’s about human resilience and opportunity. Every day, I leverage my knowledge and expertise to transform complex systems into meaningful support, carefully integrating people, processes, and technology. What started as a job has become a profound calling where my professional skills and personal values truly align.”

Thank you, Lareitha, for your commitment to improving state government services and enhancing support for citizens! Join us in celebrating Lareitha’s accomplishments and connect with her and the rest of the CSG team at the National Association of State Workforce Agencies Policy Forum next week in Washington, D.C.
