The Georgia Department of Corrections delivers healthcare services to a population of approximately 42,000 offenders who are housed in 60 state correctional facilities. GDC launched the Offender Physical Healthcare Services project to transition to a new healthcare delivery model, including the implementation of an Electronic Health Record system, to support high quality outcomes for offender health, improve the sustainability and predictability of healthcare costs, and promote transparent communications across healthcare suppliers with data and performance sharing.
Proactive IV&V Services
Georgia engaged CSG to provide IV&V services for the Offender Physical Healthcare Services project. Our team participated in key meetings and reviewed project documentation and deliverables, providing leadership with early insight into the progress of the project. We produced monthly dashboard reports that evaluated project health and provided recommendations to improve performance in areas such as schedule, scope, and resource management.
