Jessie has spent more than 15 years in child welfare and social services programs. She began her career as a caseworker for the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services implementing safety plans after investigations into abuse and neglect, referring families to resources and programs, and supporting foster care licensing and placements. In 2017, Jessie transitioned to an IT Business System Analyst role within DHHS, applying her expertise to lead stakeholder engagement, change management, requirements elicitation, analysis, and functional design on four large-scale system modernization projects. She ultimately took on the role of Lead IT Business Systems Analyst, guiding a team through the functional design of Nebraska’s child welfare and enrollment eligibility systems, and supporting the Medicaid program with public health emergency unwinding efforts after the pandemic.
Since joining CSG two years ago, Jessie has provided IV&V, QA, and testing services for the Florida Comprehensive Child Welfare Information System implementation. She also supports the State in preparing for federal system compliance.
Jessie says, “Being an advocate for children and families during their most difficult moments has shaped how I see my work in IT. It’s not just a system upgrade, it’s building the tools to support the people who need them most. Through the services provided to our clients, CSG has fostered and empowered my passion for families, and I am ever grateful for the opportunity to impact crucial systems and people.”
Thank you, Jessie, for being such a fierce supporter of the children and families that depend on these critical services! Your technical and program expertise greatly benefit our clients and the programs that you serve.
